Atlanta is crazy for food halls, and the concept is spreading across the metro area.
Food halls first arrived on Atlanta's dining scene about a decade ago. Krog Street Market opened in Inman Park in late 2014, and roughly a year later, Ponce City Market's Central Food Hall debuted less than two miles up the Atlanta BeltLine's Eastside Trail.
As near the end of 2023, more food halls are coming.
In Dunwoody, Politan Row at Ashford Lane is on track to open in the coming weeks. The food hall, which recently changed hands after a disastrous launch by previous ownership, continues to add new tenants, such as the recently signed Delilah's Everyday Soul.
Roughly 20 miles south in Atlanta's Peoplestown neighborhood, Switchman Hall, the planned food hall as part of the forthcoming Terminal South development, just brought on three new tenants along with a full-service restaurant.
This map of existing and announced forthcoming food halls illustrates Atlanta's food hall universe, as it exists now and what it will look like in the future.
That's how much grass-fed fast-food chain Farm Burger recorded in gross sales at its Grant Park location last year. The restaurant is listed for sale, and ownership is asking $150,000. The listing follows the recent sale of Farm Burger's Buckhead location, but owner George Frangos says the chain is doing well and will continue to open new locations.
Atlanta's first Michelin Guide is ready for the spotlight. Michelin North America will reveal which metro area restaurants received coveted Michelin stars during a ceremony at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University on Oct. 24.
