North Atlanta real estate offers an incredible variety of homes—from sprawling luxury estates in Milton to one-of-a-kind properties in Roswell and family-friendly homes at approachable price points in Canton.
For this week’s Listings of the Week, I selected four homes that stood out for very different reasons. We have a phenomenal luxury value on one of Milton’s prettiest streets, a funky lakefront property in Roswell, a spacious home in one of Roswell’s desirable established neighborhoods, and a five-bedroom Canton home priced under $500,000.
Here’s a closer look at my picks and, more importantly, why each one earned its category this week.
Price: $4,100,000
If you’re searching for a luxury home in Milton, Georgia, this property combines acreage, privacy, substantial square footage and an excellent location.
Tucked along coveted Wood Road, this brick and stone estate sits on approximately 3.4 acres and offers more than 9,700 square feet of living space across three finished levels.
The home features six bedrooms and numerous spaces for both everyday living and large-scale entertaining. The chef’s kitchen serves as a central gathering place, while the main-level owner’s suite includes a newly designed spa-inspired bath and a sunny office or sitting room.
One particularly useful feature is the second owner’s suite upstairs, creating additional flexibility for extended family or guests.
The finished terrace level adds even more entertaining and recreation space, including a lounge area, gym and guest suite with direct access to the private yard.
Outside, 3.4 acres leave plenty of room to dream. Depending on a buyer’s vision and applicable approvals, the property could lend itself to a pool, hobby farm, sport court or expanded outdoor entertaining areas.
Yes, it carries the highest price tag of my selections this week, but I also think it represents a phenomenal buy within the Milton luxury market.
You’re getting 3.4 acres on one of the prettiest streets in Milton, three finished levels and an incredible amount of entertaining space.
At the $4.1 million price point, I think the combination of acreage, square footage, privacy and location makes this one particularly interesting for luxury buyers.
Price: $1,680,000
This is not your typical Roswell home—and that is exactly why I like it.
The property feels almost like a private nature retreat despite its convenient Roswell location. As you approach the home, a small lake comes into view through the tall pines. The grounds feature lake views, a creek, footbridges, open lawns, wooded hills and walking areas that give the property an entirely different personality from a traditional neighborhood home.
Set above the surrounding landscape is a bright, California-style home with sweeping views toward the lake and hillside.
The property’s varied terrain is one of its defining characteristics. Instead of simply having a large yard, there are multiple natural elements and environments to enjoy—from water and open lawn to woods and hills.
I love a house on a lake, so this one immediately caught my attention.
But beyond the water, I chose 250 Cagle Road because it is funky, fun and unique. It isn't something you see every day in the Roswell real estate market, and I appreciate homes that have a little personality.
For a buyer who doesn't necessarily want a cookie-cutter property and loves the idea of having nature and water right outside the door, this could be a really fun one to explore.
Price: $1,150,000
My Most Desirable selection this week is located in Chickering, one of Roswell’s established and sought-after neighborhoods.
Built by Bill Grant, this custom brick home offers an unusually flexible floor plan with eight bedrooms and five full bathrooms, making it particularly interesting for larger households, multigenerational living, guests or buyers who need dedicated home-office space.
Inside, you'll find beautiful hardwood floors and classic architectural details, including a two-story foyer, leaded glass, transoms, pocket doors, plantation shutters, custom built-ins, vaulted and tray ceilings, and both front and rear staircases.
The large kitchen opens to the family room, while the banquet-sized dining room provides plenty of room for entertaining.
The outdoor space is another highlight. A screened porch and composite deck overlook the level, fenced backyard, complete with a fire pit, in-ground trampoline and professionally designed hardscape. There is also room to envision a future pool.
And here's something you don't find every day: a four-car garage, with two attached and two detached spaces.
For me, a huge part of this selection comes down to location and potential.
Chickering is a very desirable Roswell neighborhood with strong community appeal and amenities, while the location offers convenient access to Roswell destinations, schools and GA-400.
The house itself has great bones. At more than $1 million, buyers may want to make some cosmetic updates, but that's part of what makes the property interesting to me. You have substantial square footage, classic construction, a flexible floor plan and the opportunity to update the finishes over time to make the home your own.
For buyers who value an established Roswell neighborhood and aren't afraid of a little updating, I think this one deserves a look.
Price: $459,000
My Low Price Deal this week proves you don't necessarily have to sacrifice space to stay under $500,000.
This Canton home offers five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, including a main-level bedroom and full bath that could work well for guests, extended family or a home office.
The main level features an open-concept layout with plenty of natural light, a spacious kitchen and comfortable living area with a fireplace.
Upstairs, the primary suite includes an updated shower completed in 2025, along with three additional bedrooms, another full bathroom and conveniently located laundry.
The home has also received several recent improvements, including new windows and French doors, new gutters and a new Trex floating deck in 2025, along with a new dishwasher in 2026 and water heater in 2023.
Outside is a fenced backyard with a patio, deck and mature trees, while the neighborhood offers swim and tennis amenities plus a playground.
First, I love the cute curb appeal and little front porch. It gives the home a welcoming feel before you even step inside.
But the bigger reason is the floor plan.
Getting five bedrooms at $459,000 gives a buyer room to grow and expand over the years. Maybe you don't need all five bedrooms today, but that extra space can become a guest room, nursery, office, playroom or whatever life calls for next.
Between the bedroom count, recent improvements, outdoor space and community amenities, I think there's a lot of value packed into this price point.
These homes are listed by Michele Gallagher with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International, Huichuan Yang with Georgia Realty Brokers International Corporation, Carol Dick with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International, and Maik Ruppert with Redfin Corporation.
That's what I enjoy about putting together my Listings of the Week: the “best” house isn't always the most expensive house.
Sometimes it's the home with the lake that you can't stop thinking about. Sometimes it's an established Roswell property with great bones and potential. And sometimes it's simply finding a five-bedroom home at a price that gives you room to grow.
This week's four picks each offer something different:
If you're considering buying or selling in Roswell, Milton, Canton or elsewhere in North Atlanta, I'd be happy to help you look beyond the listing photos and understand the location, value, potential and lifestyle behind a home.
