Angela Medley October 9, 2026

From a breathtaking $4.5 million equestrian estate in Canton to an affordable home on two acres in Ball Ground, this week's featured North Atlanta homes offer something for a variety of buyers.

Every week, I review homes for sale throughout Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, Canton, Ball Ground, and the surrounding North Atlanta communities to find properties that stand out for their location, lifestyle, features, and potential value.

My Listings of the Week highlights four categories:

  • Most Expensive: A standout luxury property offering exceptional features and lifestyle.
  • My Favorite: A home that personally catches my attention for its design, location, or overall appeal.
  • Most Desirable: A property I believe offers features and characteristics that will appeal to today's buyers.
  • Low Price Deal: A home with an attractive price point and potential for buyers willing to see its possibilities.

This week's selections include a remarkable horse farm, two desirable Roswell properties, and an affordable opportunity in Ball Ground.

Here's what makes each home special—and why I chose it.

Most Expensive: 565 Old Lathemtown Road, Canton, GA 30115

Listed at $4,500,000 | 9-Acre Luxury Equestrian Estate

If you've ever dreamed of owning a private equestrian estate in North Georgia, this remarkable property on Old Lathemtown Road deserves your attention.

Situated on nine beautiful acres in Canton, this gated luxury residence offers a rare combination of sophisticated living, exceptional outdoor entertaining, and extensive facilities designed for horse enthusiasts.

The home itself features rich hardwood flooring, architectural wood beams, custom cabinetry, updated lighting, and a beautifully renovated kitchen with professional-grade appliances.

The main-level primary suite provides a peaceful retreat with a sitting area and spa-inspired bathroom, while the finished terrace level offers additional entertaining space, a game room, guest accommodations, and convenient access to the pool.

Outside, the estate feels like a private resort.

Property Highlights:

  • Nine private acres with an impressive gated entrance
  • Heated saltwater pool and spa with travertine decking
  • Expanded deck, screened outdoor living area, and lower patio
  • Regulation-size bocce court
  • Eight grass paddocks and two all-weather dry lots
  • Riding arena with upgraded footing, irrigation, and lighting
  • Professionally equipped barn with climate-controlled tack and feed room
  • Two-bedroom apartment attached to the barn
  • Beautiful pasture views and extensive landscaping

The equestrian facilities are especially impressive, featuring thoughtfully designed spaces for training, riding, grooming, and everyday horse care.

Why I Chose It

I absolutely love Old Lathemtown Road! It's one of those beautiful stretches of North Atlanta where estate homes, horse farms, and expansive properties create an incredible setting.

Talk about living the dream!

This particular property sits on nine acres, and the approach through the private gate makes such an impressive first impression.

Between the resort-style pool, generous living spaces, and extensive accommodations for horses, this estate offers a lifestyle that's difficult to duplicate.

For someone looking for a luxury equestrian property near Milton and Canton, this home truly stands out.

My Favorite: 125 Kiveton Park Drive, Roswell, GA 30075

Listed at $875,000 | 4 Bedrooms | 3.5 Bathrooms

Location, space, and neighborhood charm come together beautifully at 125 Kiveton Park Drive in Roswell.

This updated four-bedroom home offers the features today's buyers appreciate while being conveniently located near Historic Roswell and Canton Street.

Inside, you'll find high ceilings, hardwood flooring, abundant natural light, and a freshly painted interior.

The renovated kitchen features a gas cooktop and stainless steel appliances, while the updated bathrooms bring a fresh, modern feel to the home.

The main-level primary suite includes a soaking tub and spacious walk-in shower.

But beyond the interior finishes, the location is one of this home's greatest advantages.

Property Highlights:

  • Four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms
  • Main-level primary suite
  • Renovated kitchen and bathrooms
  • Hardwood floors and high ceilings
  • Sidewalks throughout the neighborhood
  • Convenient access to Roswell Area Park
  • Approximately one mile from Canton Street
  • Nearby shopping, restaurants, and everyday conveniences

The neighborhood's sidewalk connections also make it convenient to reach nearby schools and recreational amenities.

Why I Chose It

This one checks so many boxes for me!

I love that it offers generous square footage and a somewhat newer style of construction compared with many of the older homes closer to Historic Roswell.

Built in the 1990s, the home offers a layout and features that appeal to buyers looking for comfortable everyday living.

And the location? It's approximately one mile from Canton Street!

Kiveton Park is also such a friendly neighborhood with amenities and convenient access to schools, parks, and everything that makes Roswell special.

I think this home offers a wonderful combination of space, location, and neighborhood lifestyle.

Most Desirable: 560 Saddle Crest Drive, Roswell, GA 30075

Listed at $675,000 | 4 Bedrooms | 2.5 Bathrooms | Approximately 3,000 Square Feet

If you're searching for a spacious ranch home in Roswell with a large lot and opportunities for personalization, 560 Saddle Crest Drive is worth a closer look.

Located in Saddlebrook Forest, this brick ranch sits on more than an acre at the end of a cul-de-sac.

The level lot offers an attractive outdoor setting, while the home's traditional brick construction provides timeless appeal.

Inside, you'll find four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms on the main level, along with an expansive screened porch and versatile upstairs bonus room and loft that could potentially serve as a fifth bedroom.

Several important improvements have already been completed, allowing the next homeowner to focus on cosmetic updates and personal design preferences.

Property Highlights:

  • Quality brick ranch construction
  • Approximately 3,000 square feet of living space
  • More than one acre on a level cul-de-sac lot
  • Four bedrooms on the main level
  • Spacious screened porch
  • Upstairs bonus room and loft
  • Newly refinished hardwood floors
  • Fresh interior paint and new carpeting
  • Recent improvements to the roof, HVAC, driveway, gutters, and backyard grading

For buyers who appreciate an established neighborhood and the opportunity to make a home their own, this property has considerable appeal.

Why I Chose It

I think buyers are going to recognize the potential in this one!

First, I love a quality brick ranch, especially one with approximately 3,000 square feet of living space.

Then add a large, level cul-de-sac lot in an established Roswell neighborhood, and you've already got some wonderful features.

Yes, the home could use a few updates. But with fresh design choices, some paint, and a buyer's personal touch, I think this house could be phenomenal.

I also love the neighborhood setting, nearby schools, and community amenities.

For someone who wants a spacious Roswell home with great bones and the opportunity to personalize it over time, this one deserves attention.

Low Price Deal: 271 Hampton Lane, Ball Ground, GA 30107

Listed at $279,900 | 3 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms | Approximately 1,700 Square Feet | 2 Acres

Finding a home with acreage at an affordable price point can be challenging, which is exactly why 271 Hampton Lane in Ball Ground caught my attention.

Priced at $279,900, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home offers approximately 1,700 square feet of living space on a spacious two-acre property.

The interior includes a comfortable living room with a fireplace, while the screened front porch creates a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the surrounding property.

A single-car garage provides additional convenience.

Although the home needs updating, it offers an opportunity for buyers who are comfortable taking on improvements and creating a home that reflects their personal style.

Property Highlights:

  • Attractive $279,900 asking price
  • Two-acre lot with plenty of outdoor space
  • Approximately 1,700 square feet
  • Three bedrooms and two bathrooms
  • Living room with fireplace
  • Screened front porch
  • Single-car garage
  • Opportunity for renovation and customization

The acreage offers possibilities for gardening, outdoor entertaining, or simply enjoying more privacy and room to spread out.

Why I Chose It

A home in Ball Ground on two acres for $279,900? That definitely caught my attention!

This one needs some work, but that's part of what makes it interesting.

With approximately 1,700 square feet and a large yard, there's an opportunity to make improvements, create something that fits your style, and potentially build equity along the way.

Of course, renovation costs and comparable home values need to be evaluated carefully, but I love finding properties where buyers can see possibilities that others might overlook.

For someone willing to put in a little work, this could be a fun project with plenty of potential.

What These Four Homes Tell Us About North Atlanta Real Estate

One of the reasons I love working in North Atlanta real estate is the variety of homes and lifestyles available throughout our communities.

This week's listings are a perfect example.

In Canton, buyers can find expansive luxury estates with acreage, privacy, and equestrian facilities.

In Roswell, established neighborhoods offer convenient access to parks, schools, restaurants, and the charm of Historic Roswell. Homes with quality construction and opportunities for updates can be especially interesting for buyers who want to personalize their next property.

And in communities like Ball Ground, buyers may find opportunities to purchase larger lots and homes with renovation potential at lower price points.

Of course, every home requires its own evaluation. Location, condition, pricing, comparable sales, and future resale potential all play important roles in determining whether a property is the right purchase.

That's why I look beyond the listing photos and focus on what makes each home worth considering.
