Roswell History Museum - Through the exhibits in this newly established museum, the Roswell Historical Society continues its mission to preserve and share the area’s diverse history. Featuring primary documents, artifacts, and original photographs, the exhibits highlight the rich, complex, and often moving stories of Roswell’s early residents — including Indigenous communities, colonists, mill workers, enslaved individuals, and farmers.
Roswell Mill and Old Mill Park - One of Roswell’s most scenic spots is the Old Mill Trail along Vickery Creek, where visitors can explore the historic ruins of the Roswell Manufacturing Company mills.
Roswell Presbyterian Church Historic Sanctuary - Built in 1840, this church is Roswell’s oldest public building. Its square bell tower houses an iron ship bell cast in Philadelphia in 1827, and during the Civil War, the church served as a hospital for recovering Union soldiers.
Roswell Town Square - Once held 400 mill workers—mostly women and children—overnight after being charged with treason during the Civil War before being transported north. The square also welcomed President Theodore Roosevelt during his visit to Roswell and Bulloch Hall, his mother’s childhood home.
Bulloch Hall - Bulloch Hall is one of Georgia’s most historic homes and the childhood residence of Mittie Bulloch, mother of President Theodore Roosevelt. The property also features reconstructed slave cabins and exhibits honoring the contributions and legacy of African Americans in Roswell’s history.
Experience Canton Street
No visit to Roswell is complete without spending time on Canton Street, the heart of downtown Roswell. This walkable district is known for its award-winning restaurants, local boutiques, coffee shops, wine bars, breweries, live music venues, and seasonal events and festivals. Both locals and visitors are drawn to its welcoming atmosphere and lively nightlife. From April to October, Canton Street throws the best street party in Atlanta, “Alive in Roswell,” every third Thursday.
