Supporting HomeStretch at the 17th Annual Peachtree Tea

One of the best parts of being a North Atlanta realtor is getting to be part of a community that truly shows up for one another. Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the 17th Annual Peachtree Tea benefiting HomeStretch, and it was such a meaningful afternoon spent with both old friends and new faces, all coming together to support an incredible cause.

The event was held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the beautiful Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta and brought together community members from across North Fulton who are passionate about helping local families build brighter futures.

Why HomeStretch Means So Much to the North Atlanta Community

For more than 30 years, HomeStretch has helped families across North Fulton overcome homelessness by providing safe housing, support programs, and resources that create long-term stability. What started in 1991 through volunteers at North Fulton Community Charities has grown into an organization that now oversees 39 single-family homes while helping parents and children rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

What I love most about HomeStretch is that they focus on true transformation, not just temporary solutions. Families receive support, guidance, and encouragement every step of the way, helping them create lasting change for themselves and their children.

As a North Atlanta realtor, causes like this are especially meaningful to me because home represents so much more than a place to live. It represents security, stability, and a fresh start.

An Inspiring Afternoon at the Peachtree Tea

This year’s Peachtree Tea featured an inspiring message from Martin Luther King III, whose words about compassion, perseverance, and service perfectly reflected the mission behind the event.

Guests enjoyed a beautiful luncheon and tea service, along with a cocktail reception, silent auction, and raffle, all benefiting local HomeStretch families. Held just before Mother’s Day, the event also celebrated the strength and resilience of mothers working to create better futures for their children.

One of my favorite parts of the day was simply getting to connect with so many amazing people in the community. It was such a reminder of how fortunate we are to live in an area where people genuinely care and want to make a difference.

Real estate has always been about more than buying and selling homes for me. It is about community, relationships, and supporting the people and organizations that make North Atlanta such a special place to live.
