North Atlanta Listings of the Week: Equestrian Luxury, Farmhouse Charm & Roswell Real Estate Opportunities

Angela Medley November 6, 2026

Every week, I search the North Atlanta real estate market for properties that stand out from the crowd. Some catch my attention because of their beautiful architecture and exceptional settings. Others offer the kind of location, lifestyle, or renovation potential that makes me stop and take a closer look.

This week's Listings of the Week takes us from the rolling equestrian countryside of Milton to a charming farmhouse in Woodstock, followed by two very different opportunities in Roswell.

Whether you're searching for a luxury estate, a peaceful retreat, a move-in-ready ranch, or a home with renovation potential, these four properties showcase just how diverse the North Atlanta real estate market can be.

And as always, I'm sharing exactly why I chose each property for its category!

Most Expensive: 420 Darby Road, Milton, GA 30004

Offered at $2,700,000 | Luxury Equestrian Estate

For those who dream of wide-open spaces, horses grazing in the pasture, and peaceful mornings overlooking the countryside, 420 Darby Road offers an extraordinary opportunity in Milton's sought-after equestrian community.

This beautifully updated farmhouse-style estate combines Southern charm with the conveniences of modern luxury living. Expansive wraparound porches with brick flooring create welcoming spaces for relaxing and entertaining, while the newly updated saltwater gunite pool overlooks picturesque rolling pastures.

Inside, soaring 12-foot ceilings, eight-foot doors, hardwood floors, and plantation shutters establish a timeless aesthetic. The spacious primary suite features a light-filled sitting room and beautifully renovated spa-inspired bathroom.

The property also includes a separate updated guest or in-law residence connected by a covered breezeway, providing flexibility for extended family or visitors.

For equestrian enthusiasts, the property offers an impressive collection of amenities:

  • Five full-size horse stalls and a tack room
  • Fully fenced pastures with four-board fencing
  • Gently rolling acreage and mature landscaping
  • Outbuilding space for equipment and recreational vehicles
  • A batting cage and half basketball court
  • Two separately recorded parcels, each exceeding three acres

With numerous recent mechanical improvements and new roofs on the structures, this estate offers a compelling combination of lifestyle, privacy, and convenience.

Why I Chose It

If you're into horses, this property has all the things!

I love the comfortable farmhouse design, the beautiful pastures, the barn, and the fencing that makes this property ready for an equestrian lifestyle.

But what really draws me to this home is the feeling of being completely removed from the busyness of everyday life.

Atlanta is a wonderful place to live, but sometimes you want to come home to something quieter. Imagine driving through the countryside, pulling into your own private estate, and enjoying the peaceful views of your horses grazing in the pasture.

It's a beautiful respite from busy Atlanta life, yet you're still convenient to shopping, dining, and everything that makes Milton such a desirable place to call home.

For the buyer who loves horses and appreciates a relaxed luxury lifestyle, this property is certainly worth exploring.

My Favorite: 160 Jep Wheeler Lane, Woodstock, GA 30188

Offered at $945,000 | Custom Farmhouse on 3.94 Acres

There is something undeniably special about a beautiful farmhouse tucked away on nearly four acres of wooded land.

Located in Cherokee County, just north of Roswell, 160 Jep Wheeler Lane offers privacy, classic Southern architecture, and the peaceful surroundings that make country living so appealing.

A winding driveway framed by stacked stone leads to the home, which sits comfortably back from the road. Its expansive wraparound porch creates the perfect setting for morning coffee, relaxing evenings, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the property.

Inside, the home features rich hardwood floors, a beautifully updated farmhouse kitchen, a generous gathering island, and a fireside family room. A dedicated home office and formal dining room provide additional spaces for working and entertaining.

Upstairs, the primary suite features dual walk-in closets and an updated bathroom with an oversized shower.

The finished terrace level includes a private guest or in-law suite with its own bedroom, bathroom, and flexible living space.

For those needing extra storage, workshop space, or room for vehicles, the property also offers extensive garage capacity, including a detached garage with a workshop.

All of this is located just minutes from the shopping, dining, and amenities of Hickory Flat.

Why I Chose It

First, I absolutely love Jep Wheeler Lane!

This is one of my favorite roads just a few minutes north of Roswell. It's peaceful, scenic, and offers the kind of setting that makes you feel as though you've escaped the everyday hustle.

I especially love how this farmhouse sits back from the road. With nearly four acres surrounding it, there's a wonderful sense of privacy that you simply don't find in many traditional neighborhoods.

Now, here's where a little imagination comes in!

The listing photos are quite busy because there are a lot of furnishings and decorative items throughout the rooms. But when I look at a property, I try to see beyond the current furnishings and envision what the home could look like with a different design approach.

Imagine this farmhouse with simpler decor, beautiful neutral furnishings, and a more understated Southern style that allows the architecture and setting to shine.

I can see it so clearly!

The home has great bones, a charming exterior, and a setting that is difficult to replicate. Sometimes the best properties are the ones where buyers can look beyond the photographs and recognize the potential.

With a more simplified interior design, I think this one could be an absolute gem!

Most Desirable: 330 Monivea Lane, Roswell, GA 30075

Offered at $575,000 | Renovated Ranch Near Roswell Area Park

Location, convenience, and move-in-ready condition are three features that consistently attract buyers in the Roswell real estate market.

And 330 Monivea Lane offers all three.

Situated on a quiet street tucked away from Highway 92, this beautifully renovated three-bedroom ranch offers the comfort of single-level living in an established Roswell neighborhood.

The home sits on approximately half an acre, providing privacy and outdoor space without the restrictions of a homeowners association.

Inside, thoughtful renovations have created a fresh, inviting atmosphere that appeals to today's buyers. Updated finishes complement the home's traditional ranch-style layout, offering comfortable spaces for everyday living and entertaining.

The location is another major advantage.

Residents enjoy convenient access to Downtown Roswell, Canton Street restaurants, local shopping, and the parks and trails that make this community so desirable.

The property is also located within the Roswell High School district.

Why I Chose It

I love a good ranch home, and this one immediately caught my attention!

First, Monivea Lane is such a quiet little street tucked away off Highway 92. It's one of those locations that many buyers might overlook if they aren't familiar with the area.

But here's something I especially love about it: you can walk to Roswell Area Park by cutting through from the back side of the neighborhood!

For anyone who enjoys walking, outdoor activities, or spending time at one of Roswell's most popular parks, that's a wonderful lifestyle advantage.

I also appreciate how this home has been renovated.

Not every renovation appeals to today's buyers, but the updates here create a fresh, comfortable feel while maintaining the charm of a traditional ranch.

Single-level living continues to appeal to a wide variety of buyers, and when you combine that with a quiet street, a nice lot, no HOA, and convenient access to Downtown Roswell, you have a very attractive package.

I expect this home to generate interest from buyers looking for a move-in-ready property in a desirable Roswell location.

Low Price Deal: 9825 Loblolly Lane, Roswell, GA 30075

Offered at $400,000 | Renovation Opportunity Near Downtown Roswell

Sometimes the most interesting real estate opportunities are the properties that require the most imagination.

Located less than one mile from Canton Street and Downtown Roswell, 9825 Loblolly Lane presents a substantial renovation project in a location that is difficult to beat.

This spacious split-level home offers a flexible floor plan with multiple living areas, including a formal living room, separate dining room, family room with fireplace, and generously sized bedrooms.

The oversized primary suite includes an adjoining bathroom and walk-in closet, while the lower level provides additional bedrooms and flexible living space.

The property also benefits from a nicely sized lot in an established neighborhood.

Its location provides convenient access to some of Roswell's most beloved destinations, including:

  • Historic Canton Street restaurants and boutiques
  • Vickery Creek trails and the Roswell Mill waterfall
  • The historic covered bridge
  • Chattahoochee River recreation and walking trails
  • Downtown Roswell shopping and entertainment

The home is estate-owned, being sold as-is through the probate process, and will require extensive renovation.

Why I Chose It

This one is definitely a gut job!

There's no getting around the fact that 9825 Loblolly Lane needs a tremendous amount of work. But I love looking at properties like this because I can often envision what they could become.

And in my mind, the finished version of this house is really pretty!

First, the location is fantastic. Being less than a mile from Canton Street is a major advantage, especially for buyers who want to enjoy the Downtown Roswell lifestyle.

The lot is also a nice size, and the existing home offers enough space to create something special with the right renovation plan.

Now, here's my candid assessment: I think this property is a little overpriced considering the amount of work it needs.

A buyer would need to carefully evaluate the renovation costs, potential surprises, and comparable sales before determining whether the numbers make sense.

But I can absolutely see the vision!

With a thoughtful renovation, updated exterior, beautiful landscaping, and refreshed interiors, this home could become something wonderful.

For someone with the right budget, patience, and creative eye, it's a property worth watching.

Sometimes the biggest opportunities come from seeing what others can't quite picture yet.

What These Four Homes Tell Us About North Atlanta Real Estate

One of the things I love most about working in North Atlanta real estate is the variety of homes and lifestyles available.

This week's selections highlight four very different opportunities.

Milton continues to appeal to buyers seeking luxury estates, equestrian properties, acreage, and privacy without sacrificing access to modern conveniences.

Woodstock and Cherokee County offer opportunities for buyers who appreciate larger lots, scenic surroundings, and a more relaxed lifestyle while remaining connected to Roswell and Alpharetta.

Roswell remains particularly appealing because of its established neighborhoods, parks, restaurants, and distinctive housing options. From updated ranch homes to renovation opportunities near Canton Street, buyers can find properties suited to a variety of preferences and budgets.

Of course, every property deserves careful evaluation. Pricing, condition, location, and long-term ownership goals all play an important role in determining whether a home is the right fit.

That's why I enjoy sharing these weekly selections. A beautiful listing photo might catch your eye, but understanding the neighborhood, the property's condition, and its potential is what helps you make a confident real estate decision.
