New Master-planned community coming to Calhoun

Artisan Built Communities is proud to announce Salacoa, a new master-planned community coming soon to Calhoun with prices from the low $300,000s. The first two phases of the community feature an entirely new catalog of home plans from Artisan Built Communities, called Horizons, as well as the builder’s spacious Estate homes.

“We are proud to bring affordable homes to a rapidly growing area of North Georgia with Salacoa,” said Stephen Haines, President of Artisan Built Communities. “The new Horizons series of floor plans allow us to offer modern yet affordable homeownership opportunities, and we’re excited to debut them at this new community.”

The first two phases at Salacoa will include 250 homes, as well as a model park and resort-style amenity complex. Homeowners who love to explore nature will enjoy the lake, walking trails and green space. The first phase, Rosewood at Salacoa, offers four Horizons floor plans across 112 home sites and will include the three-home model park.

The Horizons floor plans are designed for modern living to maximize space, functionality and style with open-concept layouts and high-quality finishes while remaining affordably priced. The first four plans offer 1,234 to 1,763 square feet of living space with three to four bedrooms and up to two-and-a-half bathrooms, and prices begin in the low $300,000s.

“The metro Atlanta market has a massive shortage of entry-level homes, and Gordon County is no exception. Homes priced at $300,000 are in demand and should sell very quickly,” said John Hunt, Principal and Chief Analyst at MarketNsight.

Located off Lovers Lane Road just north of Hwy. 53, Salacoa places homeowners just minutes from I-75, Hwy. 41, the Calhoun Outlets, AdventHealth Gordon Hospital, downtown Calhoun and New Echota State Historic Site. It’s also convenient to many of the region’s major employers, including Mohawk Industries, Apache Mills, M&S Logistics, Engineered Floors and more.

Established as a railway town in 1851, Calhoun’s rich history and unique character is evident in the downtown area with its treasure trove of architectural delights, including the Gordon County Courthouse. Full of parks, museums and attractions, the family-oriented town is also known for its great schools and low cost of living. Conveniently located between Atlanta and Chattanooga, Calhoun is a vibrant, growing town that is truly a desirable place to live.

Salacoa is expected to begin selling in spring of 2024. Interested buyers are encouraged to join the VIP List to learn more about the community, floor plans and more at
