Alpharetta is a standout destination for outdoor living, with more than 30 parks, a nationally recognized equestrian center at Wills Park and a strong commitment to expanding access to green space – aiming for 77% of residents to live within a 10-minute walk of a park by 2029. Over half of the city is shaded by a healthy tree canopy, reflecting its focus on preserving natural beauty and environmental stewardship. At the heart of its outdoor lifestyle is an extensive trail system, including the Alpha Loop, which connects key districts like Downtown, Avalon, North Point and North Winds. The Big Creek Greenway adds another layer of recreation with miles of scenic paths meandering through protected natural surroundings. Together, these parks and trails create a highly connected, active and nature-rich community in the heart of Metro Atlanta.
